This represented 4.9% of Brazilian GDP. Since 2019, more than 85,000 companies opened in the field of technology, representing an increase of 25%. The study shows that there are currently around 422,000 companies in the segment and that there is still room for new entrepreneurs. The analyzed study focuses on suppliers/producers of hardware and software and communication/information services. Of this revenue, São Paulo generates 48% and Rio de Janeiro 10%.

A city that has been showing a lot of development in the technological segment is São José dos Campos, in São Paulo.
