Of the states in our country, São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro are the 2 that most contributed to this GDP growth. São Paulo contributed with R$ 763 billion, representing 8.77%. Rio de Janeiro, on the other hand, reached R$354 billion, representing a total of 4 %. Technology Business in Brazil

When it comes to technology, Brazil is usually behind the most economically developed countries, such as the USA, Germany, the United Kingdom, China and Japan. Brazil itself did not have as much e-commerce as it does today, but this business has been gaining more and more activity in the country. Analyzing a study carried out by ACATE (Associação Catarinense de Tecnologia) on 15/12/2021, technology companies have been growing fast, in 2021 they had R$426 billion revenue. This represented 4.9% of Brazilian GDP. Since 2019, more than 85,000 companies opened in the field of technology, representing an increase of 25%. The study shows that there are currently around 422,000 companies in the segment and that there is still room for new entrepreneurs. The analyzed study focuses on suppliers/producers of hardware and software and communication/information services. Of this revenue, São Paulo generates 48% and Rio de Janeiro 10%.
